The company Ace4Rail LLC is based in Basel-Stadt and was founded in 2022 with the aim to bring modern, new passengers trains to the market. The leasing company was founded by Axel Kiese, who had been working in strategic fleet management of railway vehicles for over a decade. Alongside Axel, the core team now consists of Luca Oberholzer, an experienced finance expert, and Albert Koch, who has been many years in various operational and strategic railway functions.
ace4rail addresses itself to railway operators throughout Europe. The range of services includes full-service leasing of modern rail vehicles for passenger transport with a focus on locomotive-hauled passenger trains. The offer includes a comprehensive maintenance and insurance offer.
VEHICLE CONCEPT
The ace4rail vehicle concept enables
flexible operations in selectable train lengths thanks to
locomotive-wagon compositions. Thanks to the thought-through modular
system, the interior can be adapted to your needs: the options cover the entire range from capacity-focused regional transport to quality-oriented long-distance transport to satisfy the wishes and needs of your passengers' needs. The space for bicycles, luggage and prams is scalable.
Inclusion
Furthermore, ace4rail also stands for "access for all" to the rail system, in order to facilitate
autonomous travel for persons with reduced mobility (PRM). Going beyond
the requirements of the European PRM TSI, the vehicles offer level
access for platform heights of 55 and 76 cm as well as flat ramps of up
to 6% inside the carriage.
